Disclosures

What we are, and what we aren't, yet.

Status

The Gathering Table is in the planning stage. As of this date we are not incorporated, have not received IRS recognition as a 501(c)(3), are not operating any housing or business, and are not accepting residents. Plans, dates, costs, and structures described on this site are estimates and intentions, not commitments, and may change.

Not a treatment provider

We are not a licensed treatment provider and do not provide medical, mental-health, or clinical services. We plan to offer recovery housing and work and to partner with licensed providers. We are not a licensing or certifying body for recovery residences.

Gifts

Until we have received IRS recognition or are working through an approved fiscal sponsor, gifts are not tax-deductible, and we will say so. We are completing registrations required by Tennessee before soliciting charitable donations. Gifts to the Seat Fund are pooled and not directed to any individual.

Investment information

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security, or legal, tax, or investment advice. Any investment would be offered only through formal documents. Early-stage businesses carry a high risk of loss.

Faith

Our program is rooted in the Twelve Steps and Celebrate Recovery. Faith is offered and never forced. Any public funding we seek will follow the rules on religious activity.
